I LOVE this bed. The most comfortable I've ever slept on (I have a great mattress as well so that helps). Most platform beds are too low to the ground, not so with this. I look forward to going to be every night. The side tables add a nice touch as well.
This review is for the entire Redondo Pier set and Apt2B:
For the Redondo Pier Set (storage bed, dresser, night stand, side table): this furniture is solid, high-quality, and built with authentic reclaimed mahogany (not just made to look like it, as you often get from budget websites). This set looks BEAUTIFUL in our new home and makes us proud to give guests a tour of our bedroom. It was 100% worth spending the money on, and my wife and I cannot wait to buy more from Apt2B. Our only qualm was that the platform storage bed was assembled backwards (and with some other drawer issues) by the White Glove service. However, Apt2B has such excellent customer service that these issues were fixed in a short timeframe when the White Glove service returned, free of charge. Also FYI- the "night stand" is made to fit next to the platform bed without obstructing the drawers, while the "side table" is a little deeper and will obstruct the drawers (we ordered one of each, so no big deal).
For Apt2B: we were initially a little hesitant to purchase expensive furniture, but now that we finally own our own apartment, we decided to take the plunge. After perusing some of the “top” high-end furniture dealers (Restoration Hardware, West Elm, Room and Board, Crate and Barrel, CB2), we didn’t find anything we really loved and were regularly frustrated by high shipping costs and reviews about horrible customer service experiences. Quality exceeded our expectations despite delay in original delivery date. Drawers are roomy and open/close easily. Assembled fairly easy after review of instructions. We’re very happy!
The bed itself is amazing! The other reviewers were totally right. But the delivery wasn't great. I had to reschedule the delivery after I had already made plans to be home for the original delivery. When the delivery finally happened the guys seemed a bit confused about how to assemble it. So it took a little longer than I was hoping. But honestly once the delivery was over and I lay down in my new bed I was really happy with it. In 5 years I probably won't even remember the delivery experience but I'll still remember how much I love this bed!
We have a few small bedroom which is used by our grown boys when they visit over Christmas etc. There is very little space for clothes storage.
We chose this bed for its rustic look, sturdy solid wood construction, and especially for the large storage draws on both sides.
