I can't update my last review, but here's a new review with photos as an update to my "Poor Quality, Bad Purchase" review.

You can see here that the fabric isn't just pilling, it's actually falling off from the bottom of the frame and pulling off of the arms.

The response from customer service (both to my review and via email when I reached out) doesn't actually address all the issues I raised and I think aren't great responses given I've had this sofa for less than a year and they're not seeming to "get" how bad the couch both looks and feels when you're sitting on it.

It's really disappointing given how much money I've spent with Apt2B over the years (this is the third couch I purchased from them), but hopefully after I sent a response to the email support they'll be more helpful in getting this fixed so I can go back to being a happy customer!

Poor Quality, Bad Purchase

I wish we hadn't bought this. I have to agree with the other bad reviews - the cushions aren't stuffed enough to stand up to normal wear and tear and the fabric looks horrible despite good care.

We've had this couch for less than a year - delivered in June 2022 - and the couch already looks several years old. We have 3 small (less than 25lb) dogs along with me and my husband (each less than 200lbs) and the cushions are so deflated after regular use that we can feel the support/wood through them. The back cushions are so flattened that we literally can't even plump them up enough to hit the back of the couch.

In addition to this the fabric, which was supposed to be good with pets, is fraying and pilled basically everywhere. It also shows stains pretty easily which is odd since we selected the Ash color. I wish we had selected a velvet fabric - I've had other Apt2B furniture with that type of fabric finish and those pieces held up really well.

We've done our best to rotate cushions to help with both the flattening and fabric wear but that's not even an option with the ottoman/chaise since the cushion is attached so that part looks especially awful.

I'm really disappointed in this couch, especially since I've bought 2 other Apt2B couches in the past that were/are (still have them!) great. Also, I special ordered a bench cushion and there were delivery issues with that - received it like 2months late which was disappointing.

Anyways, definitely DO NOT buy this couch.…

Worst. Purchase. Ever.

After doing much research, I finally landed on this sofa. Steer clear. It is by far the worst furniture purchase we have ever made. I will say that it looks nice, but the positives end at that. Not only do the modular sections not stay together (even on a rug), it is extremely uncomfortable. The down cushions are not filled enough or large enough. You can feel the wood framing through the cushions—both on the seat and the back. You can’t lie down or sit “between” the sections without feeling the entire wood frame. After emailing customer service, they kindly sent connector pieces, to keep it together better, but there is no helping how uncomfortable it is. Upon sending a video to show the issues, they suggested we purchase a bench cushion or have current cushions filled elsewhere to avoid feeling the hard wood of the frame. I truly question if the positive reviews are legit, or if the quality has quickly become this bad? We have now had it for 6 months and can’t believe we are in a situation where we need to buy a new sofa because this $4,000+ one is so beyond uncomfortable. I rarely write reviews, but hopefully this will save others a lot of money and headache.

We are glad to hear that you received the brackets to connect the pieces, as this particular model is not necessarily meant to be in a "fixed" configuration, rather made to be able to function as standalone pieces, or to be arranged in a number of ways. As this model does come with standard down filled cushions, our factory can indeed create custom foam inserts, and the team may have suggested local inserts for a faster solution. We are happy to help with options for a bench seat cushion, or checking into making custom foam inserts. Have this sofa for not even two weeks. It looks and feels beautiful however the filling is not up to standard being 150 pound person after sitting on it for a few minutes it dips. Thinking that a $4500 sofa should be more durable. I am worried about the life of these cushions and although I have been told that I can refill them independently, not really what I was looking for in this price range. You can see the middle seat has not been sat on and it remains fluffy while the first picture shows A pretty obvious dip. I have ordered another couch which I’m awaiting, now really worried about its quality

Amazing!!

When we received our modular sofa we had some initial comfort concerns, it just wasn't what we expected. I reached out to customer service and was so impressed with their willingness to go above and beyond to address our concerns, fix the issue and make sure we were happy with our purchase. I'm pleased to say that we are now beyond impressed with the comfort of our sofa. It is a sturdy piece of furniture and feels amazing. Great for sitting and napping! I feel very good about my purchase and would recommend Apt2B to anyone. Also, if you have pets or kids, I highly recommend the performance velvet. We have an Old English Sheepdog and he lives on the couch. We never see dog hair on it (he is considered a moderate shedder), it wipes up easily and seems to be drool resistant!
